As for style/form, I think it’s about the balance between people’s mind/spirit and physical materials. From my understanding, if the people is rich on his/her spirit and be peace on his/her mind, then the things/objects/spaces he/she like are very simple but not compromising the functionalities. But this will change along with the change of the mind’ phases. And if the people only be rich in the physical materials and be poor on the spirit, they usually like fashion and decorative things. The balance is only to the people himself/herself (including his/her own universe ) not for comparing between peoples.
