If this had been done in carved wood, people would say its traditionally art nouveau or even vernacular. I like it and don’t believe it is dark matter/einsteinian (unless someone can explain the form more).
I agree that some social functions may need to be radically re-evaluated in a traditional sense (patriarch at the head of the table, etc) but then those that don’t like it wont buy it (this is not a “solution” table for the masses) but is an evocative, elegant and fresh take on a rather boring entity known as the dining table.
