Yes, robber barons lay claim to buckets of cash, but that doesn't mean the money is morally theirs. When so many need so much so desperately, "projects" like this will never be anything other than decadent and vile. Actually, on an Earth with limited resources and an explosion of biosphere-threatening dangers, that *is* our money potentially being pissed away in the clouds.
