The timber tower is amazing as it gives new oportunities to the use of timber. All the beautiful of the structure and the outside is ruined by the interior design that I would define outrageous. I have always considered the UK a very civilised country but this project doesn't deserve it. I am an Italian architect and would never be allowed to plan such small flats. How can families live their life as a comunity as well as individuals?

Utilising the concept of thermal mass in domestic properties is very much questionable and dependent on many factors. I don't think you get the big picture either.

Suspect the extra energy to cool and heat it (less thermal mass to use passive solar gains or keep it cool in summer) will exceed the CO2 sequestered. What a pity that architects are so hung up on one aspect that they don't get the big picture.
