I just saw Chipperfield’s bldg in Valencia and not looking that good. The ‘design’ is amazing but the execution, mh, we’ll see how it stands in a couple of years from now. It has lots of leaks and the ceiling material that was chosen is starting to look old and brown. As said in before, the building is very impressive anyway. They we’re also adding some stupid coffee pavillion at the first level completely destroying the mass of the building. Somebody stop that!

Chipperfield in Valencia. It should be mentioned that the architectural team had just 11 months to go from the first states of design planning to the completed structure. An amazing success that is entirely deserving of recognition.

I vote for OMA’s – although Chipperfield’s bldgs are amazing too.

i think Chipperfield’s building in valencia is quite impressive, i guess the most iconic of the city… a sophisticated alternative to Calatrava’s district
