It's beautiful. I just took pictures of a school near my home where they installed LED illuminated security screens. The screens surround the entire structure and the color is computer controlled. Sometimes the entire building is one color. More often the colors flow around the building.

I keep thinking people will crash looking at it. It really is a striking way to enhance what was and otherwise quite bland building.

Not sure if it's allowed but here is the url of the photos.
The photos were taken in the evening while it was snowing.

It has a nice massing to it and the upper facade has an interesting sweep. As for the dull interior, it's a concert hall, go to listen, not to look.

More that a good initiative, i like it!
Maybe just the choice for light's colors i'm not sure but cannot say until i see it for real.
I like the choice of the materials, the glass bricks with "dimond" shape.
Please remember it's probably done with a "cheap" budget.
And i don't think it looks like a concert hall dropped in the middle of country side although i don't know the situation. But regarding the existing similar urban projects and the proximity of the train station i guess it's more like participating of the urban enhencement of a city in need of qualification to take part of the "new century" without erasing all the old. I think in France some recent urban projects and equipements in middle/small size cities have provided nice reflexions and successful answers about this.

The problem is that in France you hardly get any new constructions and even if I understand kinda of 'okay cool but boring' posts, at least this is a positive path towards better initiatives.

I think it's very nice. Super good lighting effects with simple procedures. No crazy led facades and stuff like that. A very simple and elegant result with conventional materials.
I agree with Post (above). I think everybody is tired of the blobby and cheesy nonsense from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The exterior is somewhat interesting and the changing colored lighting is very similar to that on an outdoor stage in Hamburg. But the interior has little to recommend it, and the acoustics in the hall must be terrible.

It's allot better than a walmart. The architectect and his team spent allot of time on this project. Don't hate, it's allot easier to talk about architecture then do it. Show me don't tell me.

i agree that it does not do the best job of activating the surroundings, but the architecture by itself is worthy of some form of praise at least. it is, at least for all intensive purposes, an improvement on the past.

This appears to be concert hall plonked in the middle of the countryside in france. I don't see how the architecture benifits it's surroundings! I'm a fan of modern architecture and its aesthetics, but only when it sets up a successful dialogue with it's surroundings and it doesn't become an exercise in making "nice shapes" and using 3d drawing packages.

Architecture should be more than this.
