Artecnica is rapidly growing and is now seeking a talented sales and marketing professional to help manage and increase sales throughout our U.S. and international network of stores.
Our products are carried in leading high-end design stores worldwide and are part of the permanent collections of MoMA NY and V&A London.
The ideal candidate must be extremely self-motivated, independent, and organized. This is a full-time position based in Artecnica’s headquarters in Los Angeles, USA. We offer a generous performance-based package as well as full benefits. However, relocation expenses will not be reimbursed.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Motivated self-starter with strong initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
- A strong sense of creativity and imagination. Developing new ideas and marketing strategies are integral components of this position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to comfortably and confidently wield theoretical concepts. We service a sophisticated and design-savvy consumer base - educating customers is an integral part of the sales process. Product knowledge will be your key to success.
- A passion for selling (retail or wholesale experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of the sales process and firm grasp of sales techniques including market research, cold-calling, networking, lead generation, and the ability to capture and close business deals.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional and energetic with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong desire to succeed and grow, personally and professionally.
- Proven, consistent track record of success in previous jobs held.
- Passion for contemporary design/culture/arts.
- Experience in the design industry preferred but not required; business background/education a plus
- Excellent math and computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel; Netsuite experience is a plus)
