It's easy to be a critic.
Nice clean design. Well thought out and executed.
Clifford-I've seen quite a few things that have been done to ridiculousness, this is not one of them. BIO has nothing similar.
Christopher-Not sure how rusted patina has anything to do with flat ship concept. If you meant that the design does not lend itself to the flat ship concept, then learn to write English properly before becoming a critic. BluDot is production crap.
This is actually a very lovely chair. I've found that the lacquer does indeed suppress the rust and proves to be a excellent final finish.

Yes, this idea had been explored to death. This execution is not particularly inspired in my opinion. Rounded forms are not sympathetic with the boxy base and it seems bulkier than necessary. Rusted patina is a bit of a gimmick as well and does not connect with the modern/ flat ship/bend yourself concept. BluDot and others have been more successful.

This has been done so many times it's starting to be ridiculous. There's even a company built on the idea: www.b-i-o.se

Why is it edition? you can easily mass (or serie) produce it. Or does the designer thing himself it's that ugly I won't sell more than 21 anyway?

a really cool product! agree with Josh, using the VHB tape is kinda anticlimax, although i can understand that that is something you have considered over and over again, how to do that joint etc. a possible way to push the product further is to coat this with something that will prevent rusty stain on clothes.

and caution, do not use this as outdoor chair...

I find it very interesting. One of the better pieces I've seen so far which utilizes the lasercutter. I don't think these chairs are genious, but if you keep experimenting, maybe something fantastic will arise!

I like it a lot! I wish that the connecting/joining of the tabs was designed into the sheet it self as a physical connection and not left up to VHB tape.
