did it fail? perhaps.
should it not be done again? with greater use of imagination,

The problem with the FLA thing is it makes us Architects look so silly!

I struggle every day as an architect to confirm my worth, my value as a professional. Most people think of architects as flakes, ego manics and expensive. This FLA thing confirms all there worst ideas about us – jelly, people dancing in bubbles, rock concerts, big breakfasts @ £35 etc etc. I am sure these non-architects who oragnise the event think they are helping – but they are not, they are making us look silly and undermining years of work to be respected again.

I have a “concept” that I would like to “explore” within the “creative” showcase that is “LFA”. It is a catalyst for urban “thinking” to encourage “thought” amongst new design “talent” – “it” consists of a shitload of lovingly crafted inverted “commas” and navigates the “territory” between “design” and fly tipping.

With this point of view is there any point in doing anything for pleasure (or to provoke thought beyond 1:5 details and consultation processes of an Architect)? Celibacy or bust. I hope not.
