Although I don't think that the "message" travels very far and Is in many respects limited, as only Design literate folk would understand the intention. In fact I know lots of designers that don't know that Aalto's vase was inspired by the Fjords that he saw whilst flying in a plane. I think its a clever metaphor and positive message.
