This conversation between Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs and Patrizia Moroso, creative director of Italian furniture brand Moroso, was filmed in June at the exhibition Backstage - A Sideview on the Moroso Design Collection
at designer Arne Quinze’s Gallery 113 in Kortrijk, Belgium.
The exhibition presents Moroso prototypes, out-takes and rare editions from the last 20 years and in the video, Patrizia Moroso talks about some of her favourite pieces and her working relationship with designers including Ron Arad and Patricia Urquiola.
The exhibition runs until 14 September. See our previous story for more information.

Indeed, what they said.
I’m happy to find Autechre on a design video, it brokes the lounge music cliché. Great Video, thanks.

well done dezeen,
don’t forget pieterjan and dave, being the creators of this video
TOP!
I never used liked Urquiolas flower chair as thought It was just decorative and gratutious, but when I hear Patrizia Moroso explain the concept of fabric circles tesselated in a trianglar manner to create flowers with the overlaps I find It extremely well considered and creative. Thanks for the insight Dezeen !
Wonderful interview, with a wonderful personality. I find her to be incredibly inspiring as someone who is able to balance art and commerce.
