I like the privacy of the original C-shaped house. I think they should have kept that plan and shaped the roof to maximise light. The small light well seems bright enough so it could have worked. The interior is unremarkable but I like it. It must be exciting for the grandmother to get something new and modern after living in the old house for so long.
