Just what the world needs. When are we going to stop this consumer frenzy nonsense? I love the idea of standing for hours in front of a fridge watching “cookery videos” on a tiny screen. It’s not enough that Apple has indoctrinated a whole generation of consumer gadget robots who don’t care about the quality of sound – they now trying to stop us from enjoying food too. Hurry hurry, step right up and come to a dinner at my house – instead of eating yummy food, getting drunk and talking rubbish all night long we will gather at the fascist temple of ipod fridge and stare at a gadget for hours on end until our eyes & ears hurt. 3.5 inch + 16kbps bliss for the senses. Who needs food? iRobots don’t.
(The black powdercoat finish on the fridge looks crap by the way)

look at it wider. it’s not just about the usability for ipod alone, which for music alone is not a big deal, but in the future might include many other useful things as controling the oven (turn it on before coming home), washing machine, drapes, tv, radio, garage doors etc. like Logitech Harmony controls for example.
and is not the point of now, but the future, and who CAN do it and who DID it first.
i think Gorenje is cool.

Various mobile devices (mobile phones, PDAs, iPod Touch, laptops, etc.) which have already become a part of our standard carry-on equipment can be used to connect to the iGorenje portal and remotely control an oven or a home washing machine; in the future, other electric appliances in the household will be added.
