So disappointed inventor sold out to Chrysler. Saw him and the car on Martha Stewart and went to search it out because I was really interested in the car. Now Chrysler got ahold of it and added a good 10,000 to the price. What a disappointment. I'm back to the Par Car.

We love them and would love to have one. And yes, you do fall for the
smile on it's face. They are really cool cars. We love the yellow one. Looks
like a big hornet.

Well, $12,500 is a bit high for the limited use. For this price a driving range up to 100 miles, a speed range up to 60 mph and a charge time of 2.5 hrs for full charge. Might just as well buy a goft car with plastic covers to keep the rain out. I'll probably get run over with other cars going 40 mph just going to the stores.

Check Smart: http://www.gizmag.com/go/5888/ and wonder why american car manufacturers can only think of half-whit programs?!
This Smart runs 70 mph and only needs 2,5 hrs recharge.
Horrible design btw.

As an owner of a 2000 GEM 825, I think the PeaPod is super. It's not for everyone. 25 m,ile range doesnt sound like much, but mine takes me from my house to anywahere I want to go in town, and back, a couple times. It is a neighborhood vehicle, a perfect vehicloe to go from the dorm to class, to run to the grocery store, to the pool, to the golf course. Since I got it, I have cut the use of my Ford Ranger by 50 %... that is a lot of gas.
No, its not for everyone in every city, but SHOULD be promoted, and should be a big hit on college campuses, large factories, hospitals, patrolling parking lots.
Depends on your location, season, weather. They are super here in the SouthWest, and West, could be used 6 months, or more, in the rest of the country.
many of us live in small towns, less than 10,000, a perfect vehicle to run errands around town. Yes, they use coal burning electricity. But we have that. we don't have oil.
Support these, you have to start somewhere.
