I know it’s just sexy collage stuff but the right sentiments are there. A park which might mix the recreational needs of the development with local energy production is an idea that landscape architecture/urban design needs to explore further. It’s very well for MAMA to say BUILD LESS but when the planet’s human population and inherent slums keep growing – innovation in residential master planning and energy production is needed, more than ever, to meet these housing demands. Perhaps it might be more reasonable to suggest BREED LESS.

Another “greenwash” scheme. No mention of where all the building materials come from and how is the project going to offset that before it becomes “”CO2 neutral”. Today, all you need to attach to your project is either “green” or “sustainable” and it’s a winner. Here is a fundamental problem with which architects refuce to deal: To save the planet we need to BUILD LESS and that is something no architect wants to hear.

There are 1 million homes that are waiting to be sold in Spain, plus 3 million empty homes, bought by investors. It is incredible that they are still building more just to keep some constructors busy.
