The two tone color is really ugly. If you are going to use two tones – which seems like a decorative thing, then how about inlaying some sort of decorative pattern? The decoration/ornamentation is too half assed. Either do it for real or don’t do it at all.

Otherwise this way of building 3-dimensional space is played out. Every 2nd year at my school learns the technique to make this in the intro digital media class (contours in rhino sent to the lasercutter). so what is gained here?

The engineering adds rigor. The bed itself is beautiful. The hanging things are nice. Probably, it would be best to make the bed stand out like a piece of furniture and make everything else white.

The next step is a more literal quoting of the 17th c French furniture influences and aesthetic.
