I wonder what I would ask Mahler if I had the chance to travel back in time and meet him in person.

its good to see that it was acoustically engineered. The way that it turns the corner is questionable. I think the orientation of the striations of the Mafoombey work better- but then it would have been too derivitave?

The two tone color is really ugly. If you are going to use two tones - which seems like a decorative thing, then how about inlaying some sort of decorative pattern? The decoration/ornamentation is too half assed. Either do it for real or don't do it at all.

Otherwise this way of building 3-dimensional space is played out. Every 2nd year at my school learns the technique to make this in the intro digital media class (contours in rhino sent to the lasercutter). so what is gained here?

The engineering adds rigor. The bed itself is beautiful. The hanging things are nice. Probably, it would be best to make the bed stand out like a piece of furniture and make everything else white.

The next step is a more literal quoting of the 17th c French furniture influences and aesthetic.

Mafoombey is very different. Here we have a real shape for music, and not only for music, the space reproduce a sound of a new architecture. I think Mafoombey is interesting but we lost a big part of the material to create a geometric form for a very small space.
