The facades are completely random: openings are placed just where they needed to be regarding to the floor plans - IMO it doesn't look like anything the designer really re-evaluated. Just a nice looking shoebox with a few windows. Take a look at Maaars' Schnitzer-Bruch house for a much better laminated wood family house example. Interesting, but a bit boring.
