Just what we needed when stranded for the night at JFK New York Airport by Delta Air Line. Maybe you should send a sample of this to them and suggest that rather than abandoned people to sleep on the floor they could keep these in stock and offer them to customers when they cancel. They have now lost six customers who will never fly with them again - if they had shown just a little 'duty of care' we may have felt more likely to consider them in the future. Or maybe you open an outlet for travellers.

Nice design, I would look into turning the whole unit upside down. Eliminating the mattress contact with the "dirt", in my case dog hair, and the rolled matt could be functional as seating until bed time..just a thought

Kellen is right "Why would I want to leave bedding on the floor exposed to dirt and dust until a visitor arived? "....but may be we are too negative....
to this concept , i prefer the hospitality tower of Matali Crasset or better a japapese solution or a foot stool that becomes a bed ....

Why would I want to leave bedding on the floor exposed to dirt and dust until a visitor arived? This doesn't make sense to me. Because if it wasn't meant to be left out at all times than there is no point to this piece.

Si
we have six billion diferent individuals on earth. Do you really think they all would like the same chair design?

Function and form walks together. The first attends the practical needs of the user and the second the emotional needs.

I don't agree with any one,

Why keep designing new chairs or any other new/old product if they all have the same
fuction.
Is form more important than function?
The items for an idea like this can already be purchased seperately and placed in a box ready for use when your friend visits.

I 'm agree with yours comments ....
Great concept quite different from matali crasset's product but there are both for urban nomad, for couch surfing aso...
Good observations as a japonese designer, simplicity+ multifunction ( the new trend with crisis and the too much of neo baroques )...
@Christian, if you dont see any in common with crasset´s project, may be you must go deeper in use value and social observations....
@ Edouado ,hell and design are always in details...
