Without getting into the "what is art" talk I would like to pose the question, how did these craft take form? Was it not designed before it came what it now is? To suggest that these furniture pieces were not designed is ridiculous. Everything, and I mean everything at some point is designed. However crude or raw it may be it is the only way something of this nature can come into existence. You need to look at the definitions of craft, design and art. Without getting into the “what is art” talk I would like to pose the question, how did these craft take form? Was it not designed before it came what it now is?
