I grew up in Greece. Every summer people used to build temporary huts of bamboo cane on beaches across the country. Any Greek would have pleasant associations of summertime when seeing the cane facade. Some may take issue with the interiors but I suspect that finding the right client and pulling off a project like this in Greece is not easy.

there’s no connection between the outside layer and the way the interior looks … I do love the texture the outside layer gives to the building …
