Genuinely disappointing, both from MOS and PS1 for buying into this weak scheme. They should call it Godzilla’s furball, it’s such a poor rip-off of a primitive hut, spiced up with some meaningless environmental arguments. See more: http://blog.karlsharro.co.uk/#post32

i find the ecological arguments contrived and insincere, and betrays a deep misunderstanding and misappropriation of the principles of passive cooling. induction is not the same as convection. the structure provides shade, and nothing else. don’t blow smoke up my ass and call it a stack effect.

It was a done deal! MOS got invited the 3rd time!!!…and now they won, suprise!. scandalous and shameful for any young architect out there.

SHoP set a pretty high bar after winning this competition in its first year aimed towards young architects, and I gotta say this is pretty disappointing.

boring for the fourth year in a row. the PS1 young architects program has basically made itself irrelevant after repeatedly selecting dull projects.
