The European Parlement is going to decide within 3 months if there comes a ban on traditional lightbulbs from this year on. (It will happen anyway) If approved: it will be a fact from 2012 (3 years!!). It will go in fazes: from september 2009 no more 100 W, september 2010, no more 75W, one year later 60 W. In september 2012 no more 25 W & 40 W. Australia, Cuba & Fillipines are also working on the same plans. The next one to go is the halogen lamp, as from 2016!! Think about it the next time you want to buy a nicely designed lightfixture... @ Suki ;
