The car's design certainly didn't inspire any awe in me. It reminded me of a nicely rounded fat duck! And I agree with all those who are worried about decreased parking space, increasing pollution and traffic congestion on roads, not to mention the aspirational "pressure" it puts on lower-to-middle income groups who might save up to buy the "cheapest" car in India, only to lose in the long run because of skyrocketing fuel price. Tata should take a cue from Delhi Metro. Similar to those who buy mobile phones just to show connectivity. Who cares what colour or trim, AC or central locking this thing has in different version. Human ingenuity especially in India is beyond such choices. Such a narrow post fordist visions isn't really going to disrupt the car market in india. Lets see a proper vehicle platform that can cater for some of the real needs of mobility and life in India. I think if this was my first car experience I would be looking to drive what currently exists and hitch a ride in an old Ambassador or Bajaj scooter.....
