It’s just not cool is it, neither this pavillion nor this competition(advertising opportunity). There should have been an infinitely more interesting selection. This pavillion has a fairly clumsy form and creates an exceptionally dull and inappropriate gallery space. As for the response to the site- couldn’t be much worse. Sorry to be a hater, but there’s no avoiding it on this one!

I agree with JH. This competition ended up being an adertising campaign for FACIT and their construction technique, hence relegating any entries deviating from the status quo. Oh well.

lawsuits from wheelchair users won’t come cheap; unless there’s a whole lot of balustrading left out of the images. ‘elegant response to canalside site’ ? it just moons its arse in that direction. a bit rectalinear.
