I visited this store yesterday, the groud floor space is styling. But i like first floor more. the first floor is pure black space. it emphasizes the unsophisticated black -.

Maybe the design just doesn’t work well on camera? I don’t like it either though. To me, the lamps (is it a death sin to call them lamps?) tend to disappear in the surrounding. The problem with fashion is that you go in and out of it, and not necessarily at the same time as others. The curtain looks like a $2 fix for some hi-tech floating door mechanism that broke down five minutes before the official opening of the store. Great to keep insects out though. Hilarious project description indeed.
All things considered, thanks to the Dezeen people for the neverending work.

I really like it. It takes you to a different time and place, away from reality…surreal even. I feel the intended interpretation. Not mundane and uniform like most lighting displays. Multi-dimensional.

Prof Z. you read too many things and don’t make decisions for yourself. Regardless who Artimide is and represents, this particular project is a complete mistake. Rubbish. Lack of direction.

Prof Z, you’re right, but this store doesn’t reflect the company’s policy/design rigourosness. ok with clichèe organic blobby stuff, but this thing doesn’t even look like well executed. the unsharp voids in the ceiling…, the thread curtain…., only the magician coming right out of it missing…….
