Because the population ageing resulting from the postwar babyboom holland will need a lot more homes for the elderly soon. However this building was no longer really efficient for that task. Anyway I love the wine bottles in the model (i hope it was intentional ) and I am looking for more funny things lite that. The interior is very well done, as could be expected from Merkx+Girod.

I like the manipulation of surface textures. As a side note its interesting that this used to be a care home for the elderly. It seems carehomes are becoming an extinct building use in Holland – together with their users.
