Amen, GTI. Why do these kids need plastic stools created to sit on outside and a fake tree, however cute it might be, installed to hold them? It's my opinion that many in the design world need to recognize their own potential to do things that matter and stop being so frivolous in the name of cool aesthetics. Whatever energy they used on this project could - and in my opinion, absolutely should - have served so much more of a purpose applied to a real problem in an area that really needs help. These plastic stools will be in a landfill in a few years probably...or some more worthy artist will be tasked with trying to reuse them to avoid the landfill scenario. I really don't see how people can enjoy working on something that is pointless and unnecessary when there are so many truly significant problems that could be solved by good design. I guess because that's where the money is.

Fantastic!

Replacing real trees and sitting on grass with plastic is a truly great idea. Are we going mad?

Here stools are fruits ...an hybride fruit between object and furniture...a chinese design student told me that last year in my global design incubator but it's also an hybride between furniture and tools . A chimpanZé understands that more quicker than some 21st century 's children ...

this looks really really positive & i immediately want to ask/know what the kids think, has there been an exchange of same aged kids from inner city etc see if similar things/ a project like this might be good for them too etc etc,

im (in the main) referring to concepts & ideas behind this not actual design, which is fine in my eyes, the fact that this project has been realised is good enough for me, design can always be improved and ideas extended & developed etc etc etc,
