An almost sudden but expected impression which the form of this building instilled into my mind is the resemblance it bears to Jean Nouvel’s Torre Agbar in Barcelona. Arguably this project of Zaha Hadid Architects might be interpreted as an improved version of ‘Nouvel’s Bullet’.

I would have expected her to design something more in keeping with the general architecture of Bucharest, but this is so discordant. It looks like it belongs in Dubai. It may be good as an individual design, thin shell, clean lines, nice curves – but placement matters a lot.
