Michael the pool has a glass pool fence which is childproof!!!

Australia has very strict regulations for pool fencing....This fence and gate would have to conform so your comments are laughable...

No, not quite there, too much all at the same time. I even see the OMA's tvcc building thrown somewhere in there. The interiors are a bit better.

what ridiculous reactions to this project! messy? clumsy? shocking?

this is a small addition to a small house in subruban australia, and a family home to boot! (michael, there is a child-proof fence around the pool, and in australia kids love to swim...). it's simple and presumably completed without a lavish budget. it is inventive for its locale and sits beautifully in its site (i stumbled across this house once whilst driving around the city). a clever little architectural jewel.

these posts always make me wonder how many posters have ever actually built a project and understand what goes into one, or whether all they are versed in is theory and scribbles in a moleskine...
