The Natural History Museum has to be the worst of all the London museums - and it doesn't look like its getting any better. The exhibits are all plaster casts (not a real bone to be seen) and so simplistic even kids are bored. This is all a shame, since it is one of the most beautiful examples of polychrome brick in the country, with amazing mouldings and details. What the museum needed was a serious extension that responded to the existing buildings, not a blob of whipped crap.

@Kong: Wrong :)
You are talking natural selection (which we can observe).
According to Darwin, if you give it enough time, this blob will eventually evolve into an 80-story high starship that will shuttle between London and Mars (which we are yet to observe).
Just sit down and wait.

According to Darwin :

The blob in a glass cube one liner will soon be wiped off the face of earth by stronger and more powerful buildings that are able to incorporate their shape into their exterior skin.

( At least I hope so )

It's sort of akin to Polshek's Rose Center in New York... I appreciate the whole "volume inside a glass box" approach..Seems to lend itself to the idea of "discovery" in both projects
