okay - so what if it looks like something you have seen before? Architecture is not about creating something 'never seen before' it is about finding the right solution to a question.. and getting it right. In this case the detailing is done perfect, the build is simple, adequate, fits surroundings and still amazes the visitor in all its simplicity -- big applause for this architect!

(I know you can't help it but at least try to take a second look before making up your mind.. or must I say eyes?)

First: I have to congratulate the museum authorities for picking up this one. The Polish word "skansen" normally stands for "ethnographic museum" but can also refer to stubborn, conservative thinking. Apparently it was not the case here, and it easily could have been, believe me.

The fact that this building looks remotely like another H&M... I have no problem with that but my only issue is that this is not really drawn from Polish building tradition, which calls for some kind of roof overhang in all regions of the country. Neo-modernism hates roof eaves and gutters.
Generally, the architects put together a nice and inviting suburban building.
I like it. Gratulacje.
