Beijing architects MAD seek an architect/designer to work with them on project concepts:

MAD is a Beijing-based design collaboration dedicated to innovation in architectural practice, landscape design and urban planning. As a leading voice in the new generation of design, we examine and develop our unique concept of futurism in China, exploring a renewed understanding of nature and advanced technology. We define architecture as a man-made symbiosis, in harmony with nature, giving people the freedom to develop their own independent urban experience.

MAD’s ongoing projects include: the Absolute Towers in Toronto, Canada, an international competition MAD won in 2006; the Sinosteel International Plaza, a 358M high-rise building in Tianjin, China; Erdos Museum in Inner Mongolia, Guardian Art Center in Beijing, Taichung Convention Center in Taiwan, Beihai Bay No.1 and some large-scale public complex and residential housing in Denmark, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Costa Rica.

We are seeking Architect Designers strong in concept design to work on our projects in the initial concept stage.

Tasks

Work closely with our Design Director/Partner Yansong Ma, to develop initial concept.

Job Profile

The applicant must be fluent in English. Knowledge of 3D computer graphics with Rhino or Maya or both, 2D drafting with Auto CAD, graphic work with Photoshop, illustrator and Indesign, presentation work with Power Point.

The applicant should also have great communication skill with an outgoing, warm and cheerful personality. Confident and positive in front of all kind of conditions especially with tight project schedules. Well organized, and has the ability of dealing with multi tasks.
