Internship
Cinimod Studio is looking for interns to be involved in art installations, architecture projects, lighting design, and product design. Our multi-disciplinary approach to projects requires a diverse range of skills in the studio, and the successful applicant(s) would be working under the instruction and supervision of one of the project managers, gaining an interesting insight to the way the studio is run as well as learning some design, electronics and technology skills.
Tasks will include providing assistance with:
- the preparation of design proposals
- the building of architectural and lighting mock-ups
- providing on-site assistance during the build of our art installations
- organising our samples and technologies libraries
- general research and development
- other office tasks
Candidate requirements:
- Fluency in English
- Availability for a minimum 3 months work
- A strong design portfolio from either an architecture, interior design, product design or lighting design background
- A talent for computer software packages, including 2d/3d (Autocad/rhino/etc) and graphics software.
- Experience in lighting design or programming would be helpful
- Be willing to travel nationally and internationally for projects if required
Job Terms
The internship is unpaid although a daily allowance for travel and expenses will be provided.
