architectural consultancy Aedas are looking for a graphic designer to join their London office:

National Graphic Designer

Role

Key graphics designer for the UK practice working on national and international projects including brochure design, event graphics, multimedia presentations and the Aedas Brand.

The role is an exciting position within one of the worlds’ largest architectural organisations. Working closely with the UK Marketing Manager and the Global Brand Manager of Aedas there is the potential for expansive exposure to the global architectural marketplace through initiatives not only at the UK National level but also for the Brand globally.

The successful applicant will be key to the implementation, progression and maintenance of a brand that is expanding and changing with the new horizons of a focused, design led architectural organisation.

The role includes:

  • prepare national external brochures, competition boards, etc., using In-design, Photoshop and PowerPoint. Current design guides are in place, but all graphic work will need creative input and constant progressive design input.
  • management and liaison of Print processes and production, making sure the end product is delivered to the internal client.
  • organise working process document in design guides and templates and upkeep Aedas Brand Guidelines document.

Skills and experience required:

  • good level of written and verbal skills and exceptional visual communication skills.
  • previous experience of middle to large company management and able to take full accountability for graphic responsibilities.
  • good time management skills required to balance practice needs.
  • fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint, In-design, Photoshop. Experience in Flash and other web based design packages is an advantage but not essential
  • excellent planning and organisation skills – able to take responsibility for planning and prioritising own workload and ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Full accountability will be given on all projects. Proven project management skills will need to be demonstrated.
