As much as it is elegant and simple, it is far too austere and hostile for a community centre. I have no idea why the administrative and foyer space have the best views because foyer is a transitional zone, while the administrative staff hardly gets to appreciate the view properly. Seems like interaction happens all underground, which I have no prejudice against, but in this case, it is inapt. Users are defining their spaces by dwelling on the sloped green areas and little parapets. The architecture could have further enhanced the need to dwell and interact in the open. No doubt, it is a well-executed and beautifully constructed project. However, the problem lies in the very early stages of design with the programmatic diagram. Pity.
