The London Festival of Architecture 2010 is looking for an enthusiastic intern to be based at the Architecture Foundation to assist on the coordination of LFA2010. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to explore a career in the world of architecture. This placement will offer first hand experience in event management and coordination and allows you to work with key contacts in the built environment sector.
Applicants should have a demonstrable knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, contemporary architecture, be well organised and have excellent written and communications skills. Familiarity with design packages such as Adobe Creative Suite and web content management systems would be an advantage.
Previous experience working with the public and in an office setting is desirable. Interns need to be able to work effectively both in a team and individually. Please download our job description and person specification here.
The LFA2010 Intern will be required to work in the office at least 3 days a week (two of which should be Tuesday and Friday if possible), and to work at evening and weekend events when relevant for LFA2010. Interns are asked to work for a period of around 3 months. The LFA2010 Intern position will start in November/December 2009.
