Manhattan design firm studioMDA seek an experienced German-speaking project architect:

German Speaking Architect

StudioMDA was founded by Markus Dochantschi in New York City in 2002 with the mission of challenging the boundaries of design in architecture. studioMDA’s approach is to engage all parties in creative ways at the very beginning of each project, forming an inspirational collaboration in defining architecture.

The firm is involved in international design and architectural projects in New York, Alaska, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Malawi, Congo and other locations. Recently completed projects include the David Nolan Gallery in Chelsea and the Tracy Anderson Method studio in Tribeca. Ongoing projects include The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls in Malawi (to be completed by 2011) and FH Aachen – Kompetenzzentrum Mobilität.

We need experienced Architects with minimum 5 years work experience to work on high profile, large scale projects.You should have design and technical expertise, client liaison experience and have ran project teams. Knowledge in AutoCad is essential as well.

Essential skills:

  • fluent in English, spoken and written
  • fluent in German, spoken and written
  • detailing skills (portfolio)
  • experienced in LP4 – LP8
  • requirement: AutoCAD
  • preferred: Revit and/or Rhino

Experience:

  • minimum 5 years of experience as an Architect
  • experience as a Project Leader on an international culture project
