PR Intern
StudioMDA are seeking one intern for a six month period to start November 2009.
StudioMDA was founded by Markus Dochantschi in New York City in 2002 with the mission of challenging the boundaries of design in architecture. StudioMDA’s approach is to engage all parties in creative ways at the very beginning of each project, forming an inspirational collaboration in defining architecture.
The firm is involved in international design and architectural projects in New York, Alaska, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Malawi, Congo and other locations. Recently completed projects include the David Nolan Gallery in Chelsea and the Tracy Anderson Method studio in Tribeca.
Tasks:
- responsible for press coordination, liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email.
- refine/update the website.
- prepare all the project materials (text and images) to be ready-to-use for press requires and preparation for our own future publication.
- plan the press events and exhibitions.
Job profile:
- the applicant must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional, InDesign and Photoshop.
- the applicant should have great communication skills with an outgoing, warm, diplomatic and cheerful personality. Confident and positive in front of all kind of conditions. Well organized, and has the ability of dealing with multi tasks.
