Ron Arad: Restless
– a tour of Ron Arad’s studio

Ron Arad: Restless opens at the Barbican in London tomorrow and in the first of four films we made to coincide with the exhibition, the Israeli-born designer shows us around his studio in Chalk Farm, London.

In the movie, Arad introduces us to some of the projects his team are working on, shows us his fleet of cars and loses a game of table tennis.

Dezeen is online media partner for Ron Arad: Restless, which runs until 16 May. Click here for info and tickets.

I am not even a big fan of Arad’s work, but this video was very entertaining. Please do more of these studio tours — great concept.

Great piece of insight. I loved it. We architects are naturally curious .. or nosey! Actually I serendipitously found Arads studio a few years ago and that was exactly how I found it. Fantastically vibrant and energetic space – the curvaceous forms, the metal ping pong table, the old fiat 500, corten steel. The refreshing this is the authenticity of the video piece. This is how it is in all its wonderfullness. It feeds energy and inspiration.

    Hello all,
I am looking forward to seeing the studio in person: the Barbician organises a studio tour and workshop with Ron Arad. However, I have one extra ticket, that will not be used. As it is all sold out, if someone wants the ticket, please contact me at antoanapetkova @ gmail.com . I will be selling the ticket for the workshop at the regular price, lol!
