Siza is an architects architect. His material choices, subtle geometrical maneuvers, and corridors evoke visceral reactions in my architect. Talk about a cool customer, he's like the Portugese Clint Eastwood of architecture.

It is ceramic tiles, a traditional cladding in the Iberic Peninsula (mostly at Portugal). Unfortunally most current portuguese architects doesn't use it but Siza uses it in a superb and contemporary way.

juicemajor, you should study his work better, he uses a lot, A LOT of diferent materials. just because in the last 5 years e has been using more white concrete in the major and famous buildings, doesnt mean he is being boring
