This project shows us that we do not need a bulky mass of exhibition space on the ground. Instead, it shows that the parts (lanterns) of the sunken museum can become part of the lanscape with more open space around. Holl made a museum like that (Nelson-Atkins museum). Ando made a circular underground court similar to the one here (Forest of tombs museum). Good work comes from good concepts about topography. Thanks! Admirable.
