Nice, but the location is a bit odd, looks like it was planted in the middle of an agricultural field.

i'd say that they put: main wall structure (RC)+insulation+ thinner RC slab. A bit tricky, but it worths it!

How about insulating concrete? <a href="http://www.lafarge.com/wps/portal/6_2_2-TCDet?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/Lafarge.com/AllPR/2009/PR091019/MainEN&Rdt=On" rel="nofollow">http://www.lafarge.com/wps/portal/6_2_2-TCDet?WCM...</a>
3 times less thermally conductive than traditional mix...
Otherwise, I think it's not insulated at all, and they have a different attitude toward thermal comfort (more fluctuation is allowed compared to NA which pretty much whines when it's not 23C).

very nice. i think with harsh sunlight the wood will fade fairly quickly. louvers at the top would be a good addition. the kimball is lit more indirectly by bouncing the light off internal reflectors and the ceiling and thus eliminate does not damage the interiors.
