The gazebo is a nice touch, but I struggle to see how this could be considered to be a success - the project does not seem to relate to any of the town's history, nor the surrounding environment. It does not flow down the contours of the slope - the contrast of materials jar badly - timber for the gazebo, weathered steel, concrete walls and pale stone steps. Rushed. Corten Steel.
