I didnt know who Wang Shu was before he was awarded this prize but NOW I can totally see why he won it. To all those who feel Steven Holl or Toyo Ito etc deserves this award more than Wang Shu, I beg to differ. How exactly has Stevel Holl made a significant contribution to this profession? All he has done is win competitions and built bland projects that dozens of ego centric western architects could've done.
