		<description>I see what you mean Kenneth about the vertical anchorage but I disagree that it will be missed when the crane is gone. I think the purity of the form will overcome any &quot;need&quot; for a vertical element.  </description>

		<description>There&#039;s been something a bit wrong about the formal reality of the &quot;shard&quot; as built, and the time-lapse film reveals what that is:  the presence of the tower crane at the topmost levels provides a sense of vertical anchorage that will be missing when it is gone. A tall cone, fractured into facets, with the tops sort of broken off, is simply not a sufficiently convincing parti without a sense of vertical anchorage.  </description>
