Where do they get Manhattan from, there’s plenty of names to use tying in with Stratford. No thought for local residents.

It is rare to see a high-rise building that can meet itself with low-rise architecture in terms of architectural articulation. I suppose it won't be remembered as the building of the year, but it seems pleasantly well done, and that's an archievement already.

I suppose it's a matter of scale and nature : stacked floors with relatively homogenious programme and with with a column of nothing as direct context gives relatively little to make architecture with, except for dressing up a facade.

It is so strange to me to think of this place in Stratford. It just doesn't tally. Stratford?!

That said, I do love the concept and design.
