Typical of architects who live in a bubble and don't get the fast moving world of technology.

QR codes were dated when they first launched and are at the end of their life span after a few short years. They were never cool and never really cracked the mainstream.

Isn't architecture supposed to have some degree of permanence? This must win the award for the most ill-conceived design ever.

Its the equivalent of covering a building in Betamaxs. Well at least Betamaxs are collectible.

At the rate technology and business moves this will be superfluous pretty quickly. I would have preferred the QR codes become the basis for an abstracted pattern that would have provided a dual identity and the appeal of an artist derived pattern becoming the basis for a longer term aesthetic solution.

Beauty and practicality may be the only sources of architectural DNA that allows buildings to survive in their original form.
