I am sorry to write it, but despite the aesthetics, this lamp fails to do what’s supposed to do: give light. And I don’t mean light to make the fish look glowing, but light to the spaces where they are located. In none of the photos the light coming from the fish appears to be sufficient. Not even when four of them are put together.

Flaming fishes. Although this is a recycled idea, scale and material has made all the difference in this case. Breath-taking!

While these lamps are lovely, this is just Gehry recycling his old ideas. The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden has had one of his giant glass fish for decades.
