Rem: "...national identity has seemingly been sacrificed to modernity". Followed shortly by: "...the architect hopes to coordinate the exhibitions in each national pavilion to follow a coherent theme."

Something slightly weird is going on here. National content being sacrificed to Rem?

Le Corbusier's five points might be a good way to start, I''ll be interested in all different results and processes taken by architecture all over the world. Promising biennale, looking foward to seeing it.

Ok, I once jokingly wrote the new "five points of architecture" a la Le Corbusier for post modernist architecture (in grad school no less) and they are: 1. folded planes; 2. some kind of continuous spline; 3. translucency; 4. advertising; 5. grass.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Koolhaas comes up with.

Great topic but my guess is nothing shown will really have any of the qualities of Architecture before Architects, that is unless I am involved.
