Modern laundry machines do pretty silent washing and if the music is on then I'm on. There are already mixed hairdresser-, bicycleworkshop- and laundrette-coffeshops in Copenhagen, all hybrids working pretty well.

I disagree! I would TOTALLY do this. I used to use a local launderette and it was SO dull waiting for my washing to finish. I would have loved a coffee and a chat while I waited :)

Also, I really like the decor. Lovely, original touches, a hint of retro without heavy-handed visual cliches, engaging and sociable.

It's an interesting idea, but I am not sure whether I would want to get a coffee with the sound of a washing machine combined with the sound from the hairdressing areas. It's too much.
